What are the physiological indicators that may “AFFECT” performance

Abstract. Physiological indicators of fitness present a measure of an organisms response to a changing environment. An analysis of how these organisms allocate and store their energy resources provides an understanding of how they cope with such environmental changes.

Physiological parameters, such as heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, serum levels of various stress hormones (e.g. cortisol) and immunological functions (e.g. suppression of lymphocyte activity) can be used to assess welfare.
